- 5 to 6 qt. popped corn
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 c. white corn syrup
- 2 sticks margarine
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1Pop corn as usual.

2Put in large pan in oven at 250° to keep warm.

3In heavy pan, melt margarine.

4Add sugar, corn syrup and salt.

5Cook until temperature reaches 248° on candy thermometer. Add baking soda (this will foam).

6Pour over popped corn in a thin stream and stir well.

7Put corn back in oven for 45 to 50 minutes. Stir every 15 minutes during that time.

8Put on waxed paper to cool.
