- 5 qt. popped corn
- 1/4 c. water
- 1/2 c. oleo
- 1 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. corn syrup
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1 jar dry roasted peanuts (optional)
Directions

1Spread popcorn in a large container or roasting pan.

2Keep warm in oven.

3Combine water, oleo, brown sugar, corn syrup and salt and cook over medium heat until it reaches firm ball stage (about 250°).

4Remove from heat and stir in baking soda, syrup will foam. Pour over popcorn; mix well.

5Cook at 250° for 1 hour in oven, stirring every 15 minutes.

6Remove popcorn from oven and spread on opened brown paper bag.

7Let it sit separated until cooked and not sticky.
