  • 6 qt. popcorn, popped
  • 1 c. peanuts
  • 2 c. light brown sugar
  • 1 c. butter or 1/2 butter and 1/2 margarine
  • 1/2 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 c. dark corn syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Directions

    Mix sugar, butter, corn syrup and salt in pan.

    Boil and cook 5 minutes (candy thermometer, 250°) and add vanilla.

    Pour over popcorn and mix well. Bake in a 225° oven for 1 hour, stirring at 15 minute intervals.
