Ingredients

  • 6 qt. popped corn
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 1/2 c. syrup
  • 2 sticks oleo
  • 1/2 tsp. soda

Directions

    Combine brown sugar, cream of tartar, syrup and oleo together. Boil for 5 minutes.

    Add baking soda.

    After foaming stops, pour over popcorn and mix.

    Pour onto 2 cookie sheets; press down. Bake at 200° for 1 hour.

    Store in tightly covered container. Makes 6 quarts.
