Ingredients

  • 8 or 9 qt. popped corn (less corn the better)
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1 c. margarine
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 c. white syrup
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 tsp. soda

Directions

    Boil all ingredients except corn and soda 5 minutes, mixing well and stirring occasionally.

    Remove from heat and add soda. Stir in quickly.

    Pour over popped corn, mixing well.

    Put in two large flat pans and place in 250° oven for 1 hour, stirring two or three times.

    Store in tightly closed container.
