- 2 c. light brown sugar
- 2 sticks margarine
- pinch of cream of tartar
- dash of salt
- 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 8 qt. popcorn
Directions

1Mix sugar, syrup and butter in heavy saucepan. Bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes. Remove from heat.

2Add soda, cream of tartar and salt. Immediately pour over popped corn.

3Mix lightly but thoroughly.

4Place in a large roaster and bake at 200° for 1 hour.

5Pour on waxed paper and separate grains.

6Yields 20 servings.

7Store in airtight container.
