- 2 c. packed brown sugar
- 2 sticks oleo
- 1 tsp. salt
- 6 qt. popped corn
- 1/2 c. light corn syrup
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1In a 2 1/2-quart saucepan, heat brown sugar, corn syrup, oleo, cream of tartar and salt to boiling to 260°.

2Cook 5 minutes or more.

3Remove from heat.

4Stir in baking soda thoroughly and pour over popped corn.

5Stir gently.

6Bake in a preheated oven at 200° for 1 hour.

7Stir 2 or 3 times.

8Put on waxed paper.
