- 1 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1/4 c. light or dark corn syrup
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
- 3 qt. (12 c.) popped corn, unsalted
- 1 1/2 c. unsalted nuts (optional)
Directions

1Combine melted butter or margarine with brown sugar, corn syrup and salt.

2Bring to a boil.

3Continue boiling, stirring constantly, for 5 minutes.

4Remove from heat and stir in baking soda.

5Add nuts, if desired.
