- 7 qt. popped corn
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 1 c. butter
- 1/2 c. light syrup
- 1/2 tsp. soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/8 tsp. cream of tartar
Directions

1Cook to soft ball stage sugar, butter and syrup (238°).

2Remove from heat and add soda, salt and cream of tartar, mixing with wooden spoon.

3Immediately pour over popped corn and mix well. Pour equal amounts on three cookie sheets with sides.

4Bake in a 200° oven for 1 hour, stirring occasionally.

5Spread out on foil or wax paper to cool.

6Store in tight container.
