  • 1/2 c. light Karo syrup
  • 1 c. butter
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 2 c. dark brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. soda
  • 7 1/2 qt. popcorn, popped

Directions

    Boil Karo syrup, butter, salt and brown sugar to 240° or until rolls in ball when dropped in cold water.

    Remove from heat and add soda; beat well.

    Pour over popcorn gradually and stir until completely coated.

    Place in a 200° oven for 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.

    Remove from oven; cool, then store in airtight bags or containers.
