Date and Hazelnut Bites

Ingredients

  • 5 whole Dates, Pitted
  • 80 grams Hazelnuts
  • 2 Tablespoons Honey Or Agave Syrup
  • 2 Tablespoons Cocoa, Plus Extra For Sprinkling
  • 1- 1/2 Tablespoon Coconut Oil, Melted And Slightly Cooled
  • 1- 1/2 Tablespoon Chia Seeds
  • 1/2 teaspoons Vanilla Sugar (or Extract/essence)

Directions

    Place dates in 100ml of water, cover and leave in the fridge for around 4 hours.

    After the four hours, drain water (but retain 2 tablespoons) and place in a food processor with all the other ingredients (including the reserved 2 tablespoons water).

    Blitz for a couple of minutes until everything is well combined and chopped.

    Pour into tin lined with grease-proof paper and place in the freezer for an hour to harden.

    Cut into small squares and then keep refrigerated until ready to eat.

    Sprinkle with a little cocoa just before serving.
