  • 1 c. oleo
  • 2 c. brown sugar
  • 1/2 c. light Karo
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. soda
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 5 qt. popped popcorn

Directions

    Melt butter; add brown sugar, Karo and salt.

    Bring to boil for 5 minutes.

    Remove from stove and add soda and vanilla.

    Pour over corn and mix.

    Bake in oven 1 hour at 250°.

    Stir every 15 minutes.

    (This dries the syrup on the corn so it will separate.) 250° may be too hot in some ovens, so 225° or 200° might be sufficient.
