- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/2 cup light corn syrup
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/8 teaspoon cream of tartar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 12 cups freshly popped popcorn
Directions

1Combine brown sugar, karo syrup, water, cream of tartar and butter in saucepan.

2Cook to soft ball stage.

3Remove from heat and cool 1 minute.

4Stir in soda-- will bubble.

5Pour over popped corn and stir until coated.

6Spread on waxed paper to cool.
