- 2 c. packed brown sugar
- 1/2 c. dark corn syrup
- 1 c. margarine
- 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 tsp. soda
- 6 qt. popped popcorn
Directions

1Combine brown sugar, syrup, margarine and cream of tartar in saucepan.

2Bring to a hard rolling boil, stirring until sugar is melted, boil 5 minutes.

3Remove from heat; stir in soda.

4Pour over popcorn; mix well.

5Place in roaster pan.

6Bake in preheated 250° oven for about 1 hour, stirring every 15 minutes.

7Store in tightly covered container.

8Peanuts may be added if desired.
