- 1 c. flour
- 1 1/4 c. rolled oats
- 3/4 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 3/4 c. melted margarine
- 8 oz. chocolate chips
- 1/2 c. chopped walnuts (optional)
- 3/4 c. caramel or butterscotch sauce
- 3 Tbsp. flour
Directions

1Combine oats, sugar, soda, salt and margarine.

2Reserve 3/4 cup and pat remainder in an ungreased 9 x 9-inch baking pan.

3Bake 10 minutes at 350°.

4Sprinkle with chocolate chips and nuts.

5Combine caramel sauce with 3 tablespoons flour and drizzle over top. Sprinkle with 3/4 cup oat mixture.

6Bake another 15 to 20 minutes. Cut into squares when cool.
