- 5 c. sugar
- 2 c. cream
- 1/2 c. milk
- 1/2 stick butter (margarine)
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. nuts
- 2 c. marshmallows
Directions

1Put 4 cups sugar, the cream and butter on slow fire.

2While this is cooking, put the remaining cup of sugar in a skillet and caramelize over a slow fire.

3When the mixture comes to a boil, add the burnt sugar and milk to it.

4Cook until it reaches a soft ball when tested in cold water.

5(Cook long enough.)

6Let cool, then add vanilla.

7Beat until thick, add nuts and marshmallows.

8Pour into a buttered dish.

9Cut when cool into about 3 dozen pieces.

10I use the small marshmallows.
