- 2 c. light brown sugar
- 1 1/2 Tbsp. flour
- 5 Tbsp. sweet milk
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. white Karo syrup
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Mix all ingredients well in heavy 2-quart saucepan.

2Cook without stirring until a rolling boil.

3Remove from heat.

4Stir and test in ice water for very soft ball.

5Cool to lukewarm by placing saucepan in ice cold water.

6When cool, beat.

7Mixture will lose shine and get a little thick.

8May seem a little thin, but begin to frost cake, the icing will harden quickly.

9Place frosted cake in airtight cake box.
