Ingredients
- 1 c. butter or margarine, softened
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. flour
- 3 c. apple cinnamon toasted oat cereal, finely crushed
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
- 16 caramels
- 1/4 c. milk
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2In a large mixing bowl combine butter, sugar, flour, cereal, baking soda and salt.

3Beat at low speed until mixture is blended.

4Press into a greased 13 x 9-inch pan. Sprinkle with nuts.

5Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until lightly browned.

6Meanwhile, in saucepan combine caramels and milk.

7Heat over low heat, stirring constantly until melted.

8When bars are removed from oven, drizzle caramel mixture over top.
