  • 6 cups bite-size shredded wheat cereal
  • 1 cup each: raisins & coarsely chopped natural almonds
  • 3/4 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1/3 cup butter or margarine
  • 3 Tbsp. corn syrup
  • 1/4 tsp. each: salt & baking soda

Directions

    COMBINE cereal, raisins & almonds.

    Place on a greased baking sheet.

    COMBINE brown sugar, butter, corn syrup & salt in a saucepan.

    Bring to a boil over high heat.

    Cook for 1-1/2 minutes, stirring constantly.

    Remove from heat.

    Add baking soda.

    TOSS brown sugar mixture with cereal mixture.

    BAKE at 325F for 12 minutes, stirring after 6 minutes.

    Remove & cool.
