- 1/2 c. sugar
- salt
- vanilla
- milk
- 4 egg yolks
- pie crust
- butter
Directions

1In a bowl mix 1/2 cup flour, 1/2 cup sugar, dash of salt, 1/2 tsp vanila, 1/3 cup milk, 4 egg yolks, (save whites for later). Stir well!

2Add 1 1/6 cup milk & stir in.

3Carmelize 1 1/2 cup sugar in an iron skillet stirring constantly on low heat - when sugar melts, stir in butter ( about the size of an egg).

4After butter is stirrred in add bowl mixture a tiny bit at a time while continuing to stir.

5Stir rapidly until thickened and pour into crust.

6Add meringue.
