- 1 c. sugar
- 3 eggs, separated
- 2 Tbsp. flour
- 1 1/2 c. sweet milk
- 1 Tbsp. butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- pinch of salt
- 3/4 c. sugar
Directions

1Put 3/4 cup granulated sugar in iron skillet on low heat. Cook until sugar is melted and browned.

2Add sugar and flour together, then add enough milk to wet the sugar mixture.

3Add well beaten egg yolks, then the remaining milk.

4Add salt and browned sugar.

5Cook in saucepan until mixture is thick.

6Add vanilla and butter, then pour into pre-cooked pie shell.
