Ingredients
- 3 qt. popped popcorn
- 1 c. firmly packed light or dark brown sugar
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1/2 c. Karo syrup (light or dark)
- 1/2 tsp. vanilla
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1Place popcorn in large shallow roasting pan.

2In heavy 1 1/2 to 2-quart saucepan, stir in sugar, margarine and corn syrup. Stirring constantly, bring to boil over medium heat.

3Without stirring, boil 5 minutes.

4Remove from heat.

5Stir in vanilla and baking soda.

6Pour over popcorn, stirring to coat well.

7Bake in a 250° oven, stirring every 15 minutes, 1 hour.

8Remove from oven. Spoon popcorn onto large pieces of foil.

9Break apart as popcorn cools.

10Makes about 3 quarts.
