- 1 c. unpopped corn
- 1 1/2 sticks oleo
- 1/2 c. light Karo syrup
- 1/4 tsp. cream of tartar
- 1 1/2 c. light brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. baking soda
Directions

1Pop and remove kernels.

2In a heavy saucepan, mix and boil for 5 minutes oleo, brown sugar and syrup.

3Remove from heat and add salt, cream of tartar and soda.

4Stir well (will foam).

5Pour over popped corn and mix well in a large pan.

6Bake at 250° for 1 hour. Stir once or twice during the hour.
