Ingredients
- 2 c. brown sugar
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 c. white corn syrup
- 8 qt. popped popcorn
- 2 sticks butter or margarine
- pinch cream of tartar
- 1/2 tsp. salt
Directions

1Melt sugar, syrup and butter in saucepan.

2Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally.

3Boil 5 minutes and remove from heat.

4Add soda, salt and tartar.

5Mix quickly.

6Pour over popcorn and mix thoroughly.

7Place in 2-inch deep pan and bake at 200° for 1 hour. Turn out on wax paper and cool.

8Break apart and store in tightly closed container.
