  • 8 qt. popped corn
  • 3 c. brown sugar
  • 3 sticks oleo
  • 3/4 c. corn syrup
  • 1/2 tsp. cream of tartar
  • 3/4 tsp. soda (baking)
  • 1 tsp. salt

Directions

    Bring brown sugar, oleo and syrup to boil; boil 5 minutes. Remove from fire and add cream of tartar, soda and salt. Add to 1st mixture (bubbles up). Pour over popcorn; place in 200° oven for 1 hour. Stir every 15 minutes until done.
