- 3 c. plain flour
- 1 c. butter or oleo
- 5 large eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 c. nuts (optional)
- 1 c. white sugar
- 1/2 tsp. baking powder
- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 c. milk
- 1 tsp. butter flavoring
Directions

1Cream together the butter, shortening and sugar.

2Add eggs, one at a time.

3Sift the flour and baking powder together.

4Add alternately with milk.

5Add flavoring and nuts.

6Put into a greased and floured tube pan; bake at 350° for about 1 1/2 hours.
