- 2 c. unsifted flour
- 3/4 c. brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 egg, beaten
- 3/4 c. margarine
- 3/4 c. walnuts, chopped
- 24 caramels (unwrapped)
- 1 can sweetened condensed milk
Directions

1Preheat oven to 350°.

2In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar and egg; cut in 1/2 cup margarine until crumbly.

3Stir in walnuts. Reserve 2 cups crumbs; press remainder firmly on the bottom of a greased 11 x 7-inch pan.

4Bake 15 minutes.
