- 1 (1/4 oz.) pkg. active dry yeast
- 1/4 c. warm water
- 1 c. milk, scalded
- 1/4 c. shortening
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 egg, beaten
- 3 Tbsp. melted margarine
- 2 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 c. butter or oleo
- 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 Tbsp. light corn syrup
- 1 c. chopped pecans
Directions

1In a large bowl, combine yeast and warm water.

2In a small bowl, combine hot milk, shortening, 1/4 cup of the sugar and salt. Let cool to lukewarm.

3Add to yeast mixture.

4Add egg and 1 cup of the flour.

5Beat well.

6Gradually add remaining flour, mixing well. Cover and let rise in warm place 1 1/2 to 2 hours or until doubled in bulk.

7Punch down dough.
