Caramelized Onion Rings

- 2 large sweet onions, sliced into 1/4-inch slices
- 2 Tbsp. sugar
- 2 Tbsp. butter
- 1 1/4 Tbsp. Worcestershire sauce
- 1/2 Tbsp. vinegar
- salt and pepper to taste
Directions

1Separate onion slices into rings, set aside.

2In heavy nonstick frypan, evenly sprinkle sugar and heat over medium heat until sugar melts and starts to brown.

3When sugar is medium brown, add butter, Worcestershire sauce and vinegar.

4When butter starts to bubble, add the onion rings.

5Raise the heat slightly and saute, stirring frequently, until onion is translucent and covered with dark brown caramel sauce, about 6 or 8 minutes.

6Add salt and pepper to taste.
