- 1 c. butter
- 1 (1 lb.) pkg. brown sugar
- dash of salt
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 1 (14 oz.) can sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla extract
Directions

1Melt butter in heavy 3-quart saucepan over medium heat.

2Add brown sugar, salt and corn syrup; mix well.

3Add condensed milk gradually, stirring constantly.

4Cook until mixture reaches 245° on candy thermometer, firm ball stage.

5Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.

6Pour into buttered 9 x 13-inch pan.

7Let stand until cool.

8Cut into squares.

9Yield: 36 servings.
