- 1 stick butter or margarine
- 2 c. granulated sugar
- 1 1/2 c. white corn syrup
- 1 can Eagle Brand milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1/4 tsp. salt
- 2 c. chopped pecans or walnuts
Directions

1Butter a 9 x 13-inch pan.

2In a large saucepan, melt butter. Add sugar and syrup; bring to a boil. Add Eagle Brand and cook slowly, stirring constantly, until mixture forms a firm ball in cool water (244° to 248°). Add vanilla, salt and nuts.

3Do not beat!

4Pour into prepared pan. Cool and cut into strips. Wrap pieces individually in waxed paper.
