- 1 c. butter (not margarine)
- 2 1/4 c. brown sugar
- 1/8 tsp. salt
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 14 oz. sweetened condensed milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 1 1/2 c. chopped pecans
Directions

1Melt butter; add sugar and salt.

2Blend in syrup and gradually add milk.

3Stir constantly over medium heat for 20 minutes, being sure not to let temperature get over 245° (use candy thermometer). Remove from heat and stir in vanilla and pecans.

4Pour into a greased 9 x 13-inch glass pan.

5Score before totally cooled.
