- 1 c. butter
- 1 lb. brown sugar (2 1/2 c.)
- dash of salt
- 1 c. light Karo
- 1 can Eagle Brand milk
- 1 tsp. vanilla
Directions

1Melt butter in heavy 3-quart pan.

2Add sugar and salt and stir.

3Stir in Karo and mix well.

4Gradually add Eagle Brand milk; stir constantly.

5Cook to 245°.

6Remove from heat and stir in vanilla.

7Pour into 9 x 9 x 2-inch pan; cool and cut.
