- 2 c. sugar
- 2 c. whipping cream
- 1 c. light corn syrup
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/3 c. real butter
Directions

1Combine all ingredients except for 1 cup of cream and 1/3 cup butter.

2Bring to a boil; slowly add the other cup of cream so that the mixture continues to boil.

3Boil for 5 minutes.

4Add 1/3 cup real butter one teaspoon at a time.

5Cook until candy thermometer reads 240°.

6Take off heat and add 1 teaspoon vanilla. Pour into a 9-inch square pan and let stand 2 hours.

7Cut into 1/2-inch squares and wrap in Saran Wrap.
