- 1/2 c. shortening
- 1 c. sugar
- 1 1/2 c. ground carrots
- 1 tsp. baking soda
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/2 c. chopped nuts
- 1 1/4 c. flour
Directions

1Mix all ingredients and place in a 9 x 13-inch pan.

2Bake at 350° for 25 to 30 minutes.

3Cool and then frost with cream cheese frosting.

4Can also use pumpkin in place of carrots.
