  • 6 eggs, separated
  • 1 c. sugar
  • 1/2 lb. ground nuts (about 1 c.)
  • 1/2 tsp. almond flavoring
  • 1/2 lb. ground carrots (about 3 large)

    Beat yolks until thick.

    Add sugar and beat.

    Add ground carrots and nuts.

    Beat thoroughly.

    Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites and flavoring.

    Bake at 350° for 1 hour.

    Let stand in oven until it cools down a bit.

    (Bake in a spring-form pan.)
