Ingredients

  • 1 12 cups unsifted flour
  • 12 teaspoon baking powder
  • 12 teaspoon salt
  • 12 cup butter
  • 12 cup brown sugar
  • 14 cup honey
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 1 cup dates
  • 1 13 cups cashews

Directions

    Stir together flour, baking powder and salt; set aside.

    Cream together butter and brown sugar in bowl until light and fluffy, using electri mixer at medium speed.

    Add honey, egg and vanilla, beating until blended.

    Stir dry ingredients into creamed mixture, mixing well.

    Stir in dates.

    Cover and chill in refrigerator at least 1 hour.

    Drop mixture by heaping teaspoonfuls into chopped cashews.

    Roll lightly to coat.

    Place, about 2 inches apart on greased baking sheets.

    Flattened each cookie with bottom of drinking glass to 1/2 inch thick.

    Bake in 400F oven for 10 minutes.
