  • 4 c. raw potatoes, peeled and sliced 1/4-inch thick
  • 2/3 c. coarsely diced green pepper
  • 1 c. diced celery
  • 1 c. diced onion
  • 1/8 tsp. pepper
  • 1 lb. ground beef
  • 1 can condensed tomato soup
  • 1/2 c. water

Directions

    Starting with potatoes, put vegetables in layers in a 2-quart casserole, reserving about 1/3 of the pepper, celery and onion. Sprinkle each layer with part of the salt and pepper.

    Mix tomato soup and water.

    Pour over meat and potato layers.

    Cover and bake in a 350° oven for about 1 1/2 hours. Serves 6.
