  • 2 to 3 lb. catfish, cut up
  • 1 sliced onion
  • bay leaf, parsley and thyme
  • 1 c. milk
  • 2 qt. cold water
  • 1 celery stalk, chopped
  • salt and pepper
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or fat

Directions

    Place all ingredients into stew pan and put on slow fire. Stir occasionally and cook until fish is ready to fall to pieces. Serve hot.
