Ingredients

  • 1 gal. sliced tomatoes
  • 5 red peppers
  • 2 c. chopped onions
  • 2 large cloves garlic
  • 1 c. brown sugar
  • 2 c. vinegar
  • 3 Tbsp. mixed pickling spices

Directions

    Cook tomatoes, peppers and garlic until tender; press through sieve.

    Add sugar, vinegar and spices to tomato pulp, and cook rapidly for abut 45 minutes until thick.

    Pour into hot sterilized jars.

    Cover and seal.
