  • 2 tablespoons olive oil;
  • 1/2 medium onion thinly sliced;
  • cauliflower cut into chunks;
  • 1 teaspoon salt;
  • 1 tablespoon butter;
  • 1 teaspoon turmeric;
  • 1 teaspoon ground cumin;
  • 1 teaspoon ground coriander; 2 tablespoons water;
  • 3 tablespoons grated parmesan (optional)

    In wok, saute onion in oil for about 3 minutes; then cover and steam for 5 minutes until brown. Add cauliflower and salt; cover, lower heat and toss. After 8 minutes add the butter and toss. After another 7 minutes add the turmeric, cumin and coriander and toss. The cauliflower will become brownish. Add the water and keep steaming for another 4 minutes or until the cauliflower is the softness that you like. If desired add the grated cheese.
