  • 2 gal. cukes, cut lengthwise
  • 6 small onions, sliced in rings
  • 6 ribs celery, sliced in strips
  • 1 Tbsp. mustard seed
  • 1 qt. vinegar
  • 1/4 c. salt
  • 2 1/2 c. sugar
  • 1 c. water

Directions

    Soak cukes, onions and celery in ice water for 2 hours. Drain.

    Pack in pint or quart jars.

    Combine mustard seed, vinegar, salt, sugar and water.

    Bring this liquid to boil and pour over cukes in jars.

    Add lids and rings.

    Place jars in a boiling water bath for 10 to 15 minutes.

    The jars should seal.
