Ingredients

  • 2 lb. hamburger
  • 1/2 chopped onion
  • 1/2 chopped green pepper
  • 1 tsp. chili powder
  • 36 oz. tomato juice
  • 12 oz. tomato paste
  • 1 can cream of mushroom soup
  • 1/4 tsp. celery salt
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 12 oz. Mozzarella cheese
  • lasagna noodles

Directions

    Brown the first 4 ingredients, salt and pepper to taste.

    In a saucepan, mix the tomato juice, paste, mushroom soup, celery salt and sugar.

    Add in browned ingredients; simmer until thickened (approximately 3 hours).

    Boil 10 to 12 lasagna noodles for 8 minutes; drain and rinse.

    In a 13 x 9-inch pan, place sauce on bottom, noodles, sauce, cheese, noodles, sauce, cheese and noodles until all used.

    Bake at 325° for 30 minutes, covered with foil, then for 15 minutes, uncovered.
