Ingredients

  • 2 cans tuna in water, drained
  • 1 carrot diced
  • 1/2 cucumber diced
  • 1/4 onion minced
  • 1 teaspoon chile flakes arbol, may substitute cayenne
  • 3 limes
  • salt and ground black pepper
  • 1 avocado sliced
  • ketchup to taste
  • salsa Prepared spicy, to taste
  • tostadas buy prepared or make your own by frying, baking, or roasting tortillas until crispy

Directions

    Mix the tuna, lime juice, onion, chile flakes, salt and pepper. Cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate.

    Remove from refrigerator 15 minutes before serving time. Add the cucumber and carrot to the tuna mixture and mix well.

    Spread the tuna mixture on the tostadas and top with slices of avocado to serve. Serve along with ketchup and salsa.
