Ingredients

  • 1 12 cups water
  • 1 cup milk
  • 5 -7 cardamom pods
  • 5 black peppercorns
  • 1 small shard cinnamon stick
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, roughly chopped
  • 10 fennel seeds
  • 1 pinch salt
  • 1 black tea bag
  • sugar or honey

Directions

    Mix all ingredients except sugar and tea.

    Bring to a boil, then turn down to a simmer.

    Simmer mixture for 12 minutes.

    Add tea bag.

    Simmer 3 more minutes.

    Strain into a large mug.

    Add sugar or honey to taste.
