  • 2 lb. ground beef
  • 2 pkg. chili mix
  • 2 Tbsp. sugar
  • 1 tsp. red pepper
  • 1 large onion, finely chopped
  • 3 tsp. green chilies
  • 1 small clove garlic, minced
  • 1 large rib celery, chopped
  • 1 (16 oz.) can pinto beans
  • 1 lb. beef stew chunks
  • 1 (14 oz.) can tomatoes
  • 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
  • 1 (6 oz.) can tomato paste
  • 3 Tbsp. chili powder
  • 1 bay leaf
  • 1 1/4 c. water
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 (16 oz.) can kidney beans

    Brown stew meat and

    Mix the rest of the ingredients, except beans, and

    add to ground beef and beef chunks.
