  • 1 can chickpeas (garbanzo beans)
  • 6 oz can or 2 ripe diced tomatoes
  • 1 tablespoon canola oil (or other vegetable oil) + 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 teaspoon black mustard seed (or 1/4 tsp yellow mustard powder)
  • 1 small diced onion
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1/4 tsp dried ginger
  • 2 teaspoons curry powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
