  • 1 c. uncooked rice
  • 2 qt. boiling water
  • 1 c. stock or gravy
  • 2 c. cold cooked meat
  • 1 egg

Directions

    Cook rice in boiling salted water.

    Drain and line a greased mold or casserole about 1/2 inch deep.

    Cut meat in fine pieces. Mix beaten egg with meat.

    Add stock to meat and egg.

    Fill center of mold with meat mixture.

    Cover top of mold with remaining rice. Steam 30 minutes.

    Turn from mold.
  8. 8
    Serve hot with tomato sauce.
