Ingredients

  • 1 (14 1/2 oz.) can stewed tomatoes
  • 4 garlic cloves, sliced
  • 2 Tbsp. basil or 15 basil leaves
  • 1/3 c. olive oil
  • 1 lb. uncooked shrimp, peeled and butterflied
  • 1 lb. egg noodles flat pasta (small)
  • salt and pepper to taste

Directions

    Cook pasta and set aside.

    Heat oil and garlic in skillet until garlic is golden brown.

    Add stewed tomatoes and simmer for 1 minute.

    Add basil and season with salt and pepper.

    Add shrimp and cook for 2 more minutes.

    Toss over pasta.

    Serves 4 to 6. This can be made with or without shrimp, or with sliced chicken breast.
