Ingredients

  • 3 medium carrots, chopped
  • 1/2 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 c. ham, cubed
  • 1 lb. mild Cheddar cheese
  • 1 c. milk
  • 3 stalks celery, chopped
  • 5 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed
  • 1 tsp. flour

Directions

    Boil together carrots, celery, onion, potatoes and basil. Cook until almost done.

    In a separate, smaller pot, slowly cook milk, flour and cheese over medium heat until the cheese has melted and becomes sauce.

    Stir the cheese sauce into the vegetable mix.

    Add ham.

    Cook until vegetables are done.
